A seminar on Mobile Marketing and Customer Service, organized by Finnish Funding Agency for Technology and Innovation, briefly Tekes, on May 6th, 2009, activated 200 mobile professionals to discuss the experiences on applying mobility into customer communication processes. The audience consisted of both solution developers and their customers. Widisys' services were both used by the seminar organizator and presented on a joint stand with BookIT (Ainacom Ltd).

The seminar program included keynote presentations and real-life cases on successfully applied mobility within the enterprise's customer process. For example, Sales Director Jan Bjugg of MetroAuto Ltd reasoned in his presentation (in Finnish) MetroAuto's decision to re-think the whole customer life-cycle and see where the dialogue could be enhanced using mobile technologies. The obvious solution for realizing the dialogue was BookIT's iSMS technology, making it possible to have some parts of the dialogue automated, while improving the perceived level of personalization among their customers. The Customer Satisfaction Survey application developed by Widisys has proved this promise true, and MetroAuto has succeeded in changing their entire process into more productive one.

In addition to the Tekes VAMOS program coordinator, PROFict Partners, utilizing Widisys Wireless Poll for participant communication, Widisys itself also offered the audience a chance to vote for their favourite presentation at their stand. The winner of this non-official voting was Director Heikki Huomo from Center of Internet Excellence at Oulu University, with his presentation discussing "being" in the Internet thanks to the new technology. The presentation received 27% of all the given votes.

The summary of the seminar underlined the fact that instead of just applying mobile solutions somewhere, the companies should carefully analyze their marketing and customer service processes and decide where and what type of changes would be beneficial for them. Technical implementation is no longer a limiting factor.
