Fazer Amica, leading expert in staff and student dining in Nordic and Baltic regions, provided their staff of almost 4000 people with unique interaction possibilities at their annual staff meetings around Finland. The staff was consulted on their future development ideas and encouraged to participate in panel discussions by means of intelligent text messaging. The service behind the opportunity was Widisys' Wireless Event Manager.

Being a multi-site (800 sites), local presence company, Fazer Amica Finland had concentrated this year's staff meetings geographically in three main sites; Helsinki, Jyväskylä and Oulu. The overall title for the Staff Meetings, "TUPLASTI!" (or "Doubled!" as it could go in English) challenged the staff to think about new ways to grow as a company.

Reasons Ms Päivi Kaakkola, HR development manager of Fazer Amica Finland: "It is not a straight-forward task to get everyone's voice heard within a big organization like ours. After studying the possibilities Widisys' interactive communication services could open for us, we decided to use the existing media to give everyone a chance to collaborate - mobile phones."

And the staff thanked for the opportunity - HR got thousands of opinions on the most important issues to develop Fazer Amica's business with. Realized as in both opinion polls as in open commentaries for discussion panelists, the staff experienced true participation in company development.
